Condolence Message from the President of the Research Institute of Quran and Hadith on the Demise of Grand Ayatollah Shobeiri Zanjani (may his secret be sanctified)
Hojjat al-Islam wal-Muslimin Dr. Reza Berenjkar, President of the Research Institute of Quran and Hadith, issued a message expressing his condolences on the passing of the prominent Shia Marja', Grand Ayatollah Shobeiri Zanjani (may his soul rest in peace).
According to the Public Relations Department of the Quran and Hadith Research Institute, Hojjat al-Islam wal-Muslimin Dr. Reza Berenjkar, President of the Research Institute of Quran and Hadith, issued a message expressing his condolences on the passing of the prominent Shia Marja', Grand Ayatollah Shobeiri Zanjani (may his soul rest in peace).
The text of the message is as follows:
In the Name of Allah, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful
الَّذِینَ تَتَوَفَّاهُمُ الْمَلَائِکَةُ طَیِّبِینَ یَقُولُونَ سَلَامٌ عَلَیْکُمُ ادْخُلُوا الْجَنَّةَ بِمَا کُنْتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ (سوره نحل؛ آیه 32)
“Those whom the angels take away in death, [while they are] virtuous, saying [to them]: ‘Peace be upon you; enter Paradise for what you used to do.’”(Surah An-Nahl; Verse 32)
The news of the demise of the distinguished Shia authority, Grand Ayatollah Shobeiri Zanjani, has caused profound sorrow and grief.
His Eminence devoted long decades of his noble life to scholarly endeavors and sincere devotion in elevating authentic jurisprudence and disseminating the illuminating teachings of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them). He was indeed recognized as one of the preeminent authorities on Hadith and Ilm al-Rijal (biographical evaluation) in the contemporary Islamic world.
Undoubtedly, his extensive scholarly dedication toward elevating jurisprudence and the legacy of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them), as well as nurturing distinguished scholars and seminary students, will be met with abundant grace and a magnificent reward from Almighty Allah.
"I extend my heartfelt condolences on the loss of this prominent religious authority and scholar to the Imam of the Age, Imam al-Mahdi (may Allah hasten his noble reappearance), the Supreme Leader, the clergy, scholars, seminary students, and religious seminaries—especially to his honorable family, followers, disciples, and devotees. I pray to Almighty Allah to bestow upon him the highest ranks and unite his soul with the immaculate Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them)."
