Academic Seminar on Hadith Authentication in the Fourth Century AH: Criteria for Grading Hadith as Authentic or Weak according to al-Hakim al-Nishapuri and Shaykh al-Saduq
The Research Institute of the Qur’an and Hadith is organizing this seminar in partnership with the Research Deputy of the Secretariat of the Council for Planning Sunni Religious Seminaries.
According to the Public Relations Department of the Research Institute of Quran and Hadith, an academic seminar entitled “Hadith Authentication in the Fourth Century AH: Criteria for Grading Hadith as Authentic or Weak according to al-Hakim al-Nishapuri and Shaykh al-Saduq” will be held with the participation of the Research Institute of the Qur’an and Hadith and in cooperation with the Research Deputy of the Secretariat of the Council for Planning Sunni Religious Seminaries. The seminar is being organized as part of the Third National Conference on the Role of Islamic Schools of Thought in the Re-creation of Islamic Civilization.
The speakers will be Dr. Mohammad Baqer Malekian, a hadith researcher and instructor, and Mawlawi Khalilollah Mortazavi, advisor to the conference secretary, member of the Council for Planning Sunni Religious Seminaries, director of Siraj al-Madaris School, and Friday prayer leader of Noqabad.
The seminar will take place in person on Monday, 19 October 2026 (27 Mehr 1405 in the Iranian calendar), from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., in the conference hall of the Research Institute of the Qur’an and Hadith.
